It's time to circle the wagons - and defend your community as one for all and all for one fashion
All in a community should share in the rewards in a Free Enterprise System
Free Trade and Globalization have devastated the Free Enterprise System with unfair competition driven by a Free Market that is not really free. Massive Transnational Corporations are subsidized by governments with governments acting a brokers and dealers in the transactions. The value of workers has been degraded and the economies based on making money on money instead of making things have hit a wall. Governments worldwide are now manipulating their money processes to avoid disaster. President Obama bails out Wall Street and the financial communities and looks the other way from the suffering of millions who lost their jobs and many losing everything to Free Trade. Free Trade has moved production and factories from place to place for the sake of cheaper labor and it is an endless pit of no return.
The Free Enterprise system was put in place so that a society and communities could share in the rewards of the process. It was supposed to be about owners making enough mark up to make a decent living while providing all the workers they use a decent living wage. It was never meant for a few to live off a large working poor class. It was never meant for governments and strange international agents to control the flow of wealth outside the will of the people.
Free Trade and Globalization have triggered the worst in human nature using consumer pricing to control events. Unfortnately, workers as shoppers being converted to a working poor class are forced to seek the lowest prices no matter what the cost is to workers' dignity. Unfortnately, voters as shoppers standing in the cash register line vote more for the kind of society they want to live in than the voting booth.
And a wall has been hit where the working poor and unemployed can no longer afford even the prices of cheaper imports. The fact of the matter is that the prices hid what the real cost of consumer goods are overall . Workers in places like Walmart need government assistance to survive as tax revenues are diminishing to support the negative flows.
President Obama's bail out of big money means that future generations are now going to pay the toll for this terrible economic experiment that has failed with no sign of it ever working. In effect, tariffs have been taken off products and put on human beings instead. Human beings were commoditized and put on a world trading block to compete with each other for the same jobs. This has all backfired now with the global monopoly money game playing out in a endless race to the bottom.
The articles referenced above provide some ways to stall or restore the Free Enterprise System - buying locally and re-shoring manufacturings back to its proper place in local value added geopolitical settings where all in a society benefit.
