City finally stops a bad free trade deal

Sunpu LED lighting deal

Cleveland Ohio's Mayor Jackson tried to get an exclusive no bid ten year contract with Chinese company to bring a headquarters office to the city to supply LED street lighting. The main factory center and investments were to remain in China. It was a backdoor free trade deal that was out of order from tthe start. There are thousands of foreign company ready to do the same while more and more Americans lose their jobs. The Chinese already have direct factory outlets in New York. They even cut out their middle man distributor - Wal-Mart - this way. The next thing is to just bring the Chinese workers directly here who will work for much less than American workers and take over the vacant inner city houses.

Economic insanity

The Cleveland Plain Dealer and city leaders are calling for more immigration
to help restore the economy. Free trade is now following the pattern above and attempting to legalize the illegal immigrants from Mexico. American workers at places like Wal-Mart now need government assistance to survive. The number of Americans using food stamps is breaking all records. Some states are using workers in India to process welfare payments. This is all happening while city and national planners call for more of the same.

Dirty Energy Story continues -

It seems no one is left in government and the media that knows how to restore our cities. Only local value added economies that add value from raw product up through about 5 levels to the retail and end user stage You can call it multi-level economics. Then when the money is spent at the retail level, the money stays in the same economic setting to recyle it rather than quickly fanning out to where the products are made and where the financial investments are.
